Liam Millar

Liam joined the Docker Lab as a FishCAST undergraduate trainee in summer 2026, doing eDNA field sampling and DNA extractions to support research related to aquatic species of conservation concern, although his main project is focusing on the identification of fish, snail, and crustacean species sold in pet stores. In collaboration with DFO’s Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Program, this project will help determine whether species being sold for use in personal aquariums might include undesirable invasive species.
