Lauren Teller

Undergraduate Student/Research Technician
Lauren first joined Dr. Docker's lab in 2025 as a summer undergraduate research assistant, returning in 2026-2027 to fill in as a lab technician. Primarily contributing to projects using environmental DNA to map the distribution of species of conservation concern (e.g., the Mapleleaf, a threatened mussel species in Manitoba, and native lampreys), Lauren works alongside Honours student Isabelle Yakmission and undergraduate students Liam Millar and Sean Delaney, doing field sampling across the province, DNA extractions, and qPCR. Lauren is finishing her B.Sc. in microbiology while continuing to work in Dr. Docker's lab.
