Monica Giesbrecht

Monica Giesbrecht (BSc 2022) worked as a Lab Research Assistant in the Docker Lab from Sept 2020 to April 2021. She did a Faculty of Science co-op project comparing the effectiveness of different filter types and preservation methods for Lake Sturgeon environmental DNA detection.

She subsequently worked for Fisheries and Oceans Canada and is currently a Fisheries Research Assistant at IISD-ELA.

Monica is “keeping an eye out for fishy Master's projects” within the next couple of years.
