Hassan Nazari
Hassan’s primary research interests lie in fish ecology, reproductive biology and ecology, migration, and conservation of freshwater fishes. His previous studies were focused on the reproductive biology, ecology, and migration of the Caspian lamprey in Iran. Currently, Hassan is working on gonadal histology and gene expression during key developmental stages in wild and lab-reared sea lamprey to understand better its life history aspects, which can be applied for managing and controlling this pest in the Great Lakes Basin. His work employs both experimental and computational approaches.
