Claire Risbey

Claire is a Métis undergraduate student in the Faculty of Science. She received an NSERC Indigenous Undergraduate Student Research Award, which allowed her to begin summer research in the Docker Lab in 2021. Since the summer, Claire worked part-time in the Docker Lab until September 2022. Claire worked on two projects: baseline sampling of species of interest in the Experimental Lakes Area (Ontario), and a study on eDNA filter preservation which will be followed up by a literature review. Claire also assisted others in the field when needed.

Claire is now continuing her studies at the University of Manitoba in the Max Rady Faculty of Medicine. Bonn shaans, Claire!
