Bryden Bone

Undergraduate Student/Research Technician

Bryden was a co-op student in the Docker Lab through spring and summer 2015, working to develop qPCR primers to differentiate between the three species of native Manitoban lampreys using eDNA sampling. He is currently an Oceans Biologist with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, based in Iqaluit, Nunavut, working primarily on the Southampton Island Area of Interest, a candidate site for a Marine Protected Area in northern Hudson Bay. He just recently discovered that there are northern lampreys, and—all of a sudden—narwhal have been bumped out of first place on his Arctic wish list!
